Resicom Helps Little Beans Support Children
Resicom enjoyed playing a role in helping the Little Beans Foundation during their clothing sale fundraiser over the weekend of March 27 – 28.
The Resicom warehouse was transformed to sales space with racks of clothing and tables filled with toys, shoes, household and decor items. The large enclosed space made it possible to proceed with the sale despite the chilly spring temperatures. Resicom employees volunteered alongside community members to coordinate and arrange the abundance of merchandise, set up displays, promote the event and work the sale.
“It was great to see all of our volunteers pull together. We were all excited to give back to those in our community – helping families and seeing the excitement in their faces,” said Little Beans Director Laura Fairclough.
Proceeds from Little Beans fundraisers support economically disadvantaged children through Chicago’s communities. Outreach programs combine providing children with basic necessities with uplifting, interactive experiences such as the Back to School Picnic and holiday parties. At last August’s Back to School event over 50 new backpacks filled with fresh school supplies were distributed to the small guests of honor.
The sale was deemed such a success that another sale is already in the works for May. Additional items planned include a vast selection of paints, ideal for craft and school projects or home decorating.
